Special COVID-19 Call for Projects Grants

The Leading House Asia launches a call for project grants in order to support the collective effort to better understand the virus as well as its numerous implications, and prepare for society’s future.

Under the bilateral programmes of the State Secretariat for Research, Education and Innovation (SERI), the Leading House Asia, managed by ETH Zürich, launches a call for Project Grants for research questions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The call is aimed at both new and existing collaborations between Switzerland-based researchers and scientists from universities or research institutes in China (incl. Hong Kong and Taiwan), Japan, South Korea and member states of the ASEAN (ASEAN member states: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam).


The goal of the grant call is to allow Switzerland-based researchers and their Asian research partners to collaborate on research projects on the COVID-19 virus itself or on any of its possible implications. The call is open to all scientific disciplines including social sciences and humanities.


•    Eligibility: All senior scientists of Swiss federal and cantonal universities, universities of applied sciences, universities of teacher education, as well as public research institutes are eligible to apply.
