Researchers from different disciplines are invited to submit proposals for COST Actions until 29 November 2018 at noon (CET). The minimum number of countries included in the network has increased to seven Full or Cooperative COST Members. Multi- and interdisciplinary proposals are encouraged.

Le 3 septembre 2018, la fondation Gebert Rüf a lancé InnoBooster, un nouveau financement destiné aux participants au Venture Kick (projet ayant passé au moins l'étape 1). Elle soutiendra les meilleurs talents académiques ayant un fort potentiel avec un grant allant jusqu'à CHF 150'000. L'objectif est d'accélérer considérablement l'entrée sur le marché. A cet effet, la fondation Gebert Rüf a réservé la somme de CHF 2,5 millions par an, intégrant aussi l'ancien programme de financement DesignPlus.

Avec le programme BREF – « First Ventures », la Gebert Rüf Stiftung soutient les étudiantes et étudiants des HES qui développent une idée de projet à potentiel entrepreneurial dans le cadre de leur travail de Bachelor ou de Master. L'encouragement comprend des contributions financières ainsi qu'un programme de coaching individuel. 1,5 million de francs par an sont réservés pour ce programme.

In its function as the Swiss Leading House for Asia, ETH Zurich announces the launch of a new call for the Exchange of Young Researchers’ with South Korea. The grants will support 3 months research stays of Swiss PhD students and postdocs in South Korea or vice-versa the hosting of young Korean researchers for 3 months in a Swiss group.

The Migration Chair of the Leading House Basel for sub-Saharan Africa has launched an open call for late PhD and early postdoctoral researchers from sub-Saharan Africa or from Switzerland to submit proposals for short pilot studies (budget 1000-5000 CHF) or academic exchanges (budget 5000-10,000 CHF) with a scientific focus on human migration.
