ETH Zurich (leading house Asia-Pacific) launches a call for Bridging Grants with China, Japan, South Korea and members states of ASEAN to establish existing collaborations between Swiss scientists and their collaborating partners.

Researchers from Switzerland belonging to a university, a university of applied sciences, a university of teachers education or a research institute are eligible to apply.

The maximum grant sum for one project is 25’000 CHF. Deadline for application is 31 December 2017.

The Aeronautics and Space Agency of Austria (FFG/ALR) and the Swiss Space Office (SSO/SERI) have agreed to mutually open their national Calls for the development of space technologies and applications.

La Confédération suisse offre chaque année des bourses d’excellence dans le domaine de la recherche et des arts. Ces bourses gouvernementales encouragent les échanges internationaux et promeuvent la collaboration entre la Suisse et plus de 180 pays. Elles sont attribuées par la Commission fédérale des bourses pour étudiants étrangers (CFBE).

The second call for proposals for young researchers' exchange between South Korea and Switzerland is now open. The Leading House ETH Zurich and the Korean National Research Foundation (NRF) have together established an instrument for funding the exchange of young scientists between South Korea and Switzerland. Doctoral students and young postdocs/researchers at all Swiss institutions from all scientific fields - including social sciences and humanities - can apply for stays of 3 months in Korea. The programme will cover airfare and a living allowance.

Deadline for the submission of applications is 6 November 2017.

To stimulate and promote statistics, the Swiss Statistical Society (SSS) has recently floated the idea of a "Pitch your Research" event. The aim should be to popularise academics activities in the area of statistics and their applications in data science.

Le FNS et la CTI organisent des séances d'information axées sur le programme BRIDGE Proof of Concept. Pour la Suisse occidentale, une séance aura lieu le 23 octobre 2017 de 11h à 14h à la HE-Arc à Neuchâtel.
