Course

The aim of the Innokick Master’s is to respond to market demand for innovative, agile managers who are active in their professional environment, come up with creative proposals and are equipped to respond to the societal and technological challenges of today’s world.

The course is based on an innovative pedagogical process, with an emphasis on project-based learning, closely combining academic teaching and practical training in the context of real requirements identified by SME/SMIs, multinationals and start-ups.

It is also backed by strategic partnerships with various innovation support organisations and several businesses in Switzerland.

Study plan

The course consists of 12 theoretical and practical modules, worth between 3 and 5 ECTS credits (for a total of 33 ECTS credits).

Each module is split into several course units, which are delivered between semesters 1 and 2 (referred to below as S1/S2). All modules are taken by all students.
The practical applied project (2 modules of 12 ECTS credits) is the core of the study plan. Students work in interdisciplinary groups for two semesters (S1 and S2) on an innovative product and/or service development process, applying the tools they have learned during their theoretical and practical classes. The project is supplemented by a reflection on the students’ personal skills.

Between S2 and S3, students take part in a Summer Academy (3 ECTS credits).

The final part of the course is the Master’s thesis (24 ECTS credits), which is completed in interdisciplinary groups in S3, or in exceptional circumstances, between S3 and S4. The Master’s thesis is supported by a unit on research methods (6 ECTS credits).

Admission requirements

The program is aimed at holders of a HES-SO Bachelor's degree (without prior professional experience) as well as holders of a Bachelor's degree delivered by a Swiss university who have recognized professional experience in their field of study. of at least one year. The sector is also accessible to holders of foreign diplomas whose training is equivalent to that of a Swiss University of Applied Sciences Bachelor or a Swiss university.

Applicants must be proficient in French. If applicable, applicants may be required to provide evidence of level B2 in French according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
