The Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences Engineering focuses on the functioning of living systems and their interactions with the environment. It enables students to understand, model, analyse and transform complex biological systems, while integrating the latest technological and digital developments.
This programme, unique in Switzerland, trains life sciences engineers capable of tackling today’s challenges in the fields of health, food, environment and biotechnology. It now offers four specialisations, allowing students to progressively focus on key areas: Biotechnology, Food Technology and Biotechnology, Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, and Digital Life Sciences. This new specialisation provides the opportunity to explore the digital transformation of life sciences through automation, data analysis and process modelling.
The programme is characterised by its flexibility: full-time or part-time study paths, course options in French, German or bilingual, a final year offered in English, and the possibility to complete the Bachelor's thesis in Switzerland or abroad, in a company or a research lab.
