Course

The Bachelor of Science degree in International Business Management provided at the Haute école de gestion de Genève is a unique program centered on the practical aspects of management in an international context and taught entirely in English.

This professional program includes the study of fundamental business management topics (General Management, Leadership, Economy, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Communication, Law) whilst exploring the international dimensions of these subjects.

A particular emphasis is put on the challenges of dealing with the various business stakeholders in a multinational and multicultural context, while keeping a global perspective of the business world. Leadership courses forge the skills which are essential to enable graduates to grow and adapt in a world in constant evolution.

The intent of the program is to educate responsible leaders and entrepreneurs, ready to face the 21^st century challenges in a globalized economy. The societal and environmental impact of doing international business, as well as the accelerated shift to novel technologies such as Artificial Intelligence are embedded in the program.

Graduates will be capable of negotiating and debating in English, analyzing proficiently large amounts of data, collaborating effectively across cultures, as well as initiating and managing projects with an international dimension. They will incorporate this international dimension in their daily management practices.

Specialization courses in international subjects are offered in the final year; with an opportunity to focus on fields such as commodity trading, emerging markets, digital transformation, marketing analytics, as well as innovation and technology. Students will have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of topical subjects such as international finance, risk management, machine learning or societal entrepreneurship.
