Tuition fees : from the autumn semester 2025, the fee will be CHF 700 per semester for Swiss students and CHF 1,050 for foreign students (according to the AHES definition, foreign students are students with no tax residence in Switzerland).

Career prospects

About the course

Interior spaces are laboratories of modern-day living. In renovation projects, artistic installations and ephemeral set designs, they serve as an infinite arena for exploring the cultural, political and social agendas that shape contemporary life.

In this course, interior architecture is viewed as the point where contemporary objects, spaces and territories interact. The programme also addresses pressing issues such as environmental impact, building renovation, the sharing economy and inclusive communities. Students learn about the importance of physical spaces and get to explore the role that interior architecture plays at the crossroads between real-world interiors and the parallel, media-driven narratives found in adverts, in films and on social media.

The Master's programme, which is taught in Geneva, is internationally oriented. It teaches students to take a people-centred approach, providing cutting-edge technical training, broad practical design experience and a humanist education. In this way, students develop critical thinking skills and are ready to enter a profession that draws on individual creativity and always takes account of collective implications.

The course is closely linked with the Joint Master's in Architecture (JMA) run by the universities of applied sciences in Geneva, Fribourg and Burgdorf (joint modules), with the HES-SO Master's in Design (joint modules and research training) and with the École Camondo in Paris (joint workshops).
