This conference is part of the national project, “Strategie gegen den Fachkräftemangel in den Gesundheitsberufen”, and it will take place every two years.
The project team, consisting of representatives from five Universities of Applied Sciences in Health in Switzerland, has co-organized this conference.
The project team, together with the International Scientific Committee and the Support Group, also form the Competence Network Health Workforce (CNHW).
This first conference will focus on clinically relevant, practice-oriented, and interprofessional scientific knowledge, regarding measures aimed at reducing workforce shortage among health professions. The conference theme, “Countering Staff Shortage Among Health Professions – Together for a Healthy Health Care System”, aims to encourage clinicians, educators and researchers to participate as visitors and/or as presenters. It also aims to offer a first comprehensive overview of the work completed to date within this topic.
As a Competence Network Health Workforce, it is in our interest to provide the opportunity to network and to establish contacts. The geographical diversity of presenters along with a diverse conference programme provides a framework offering multiple perspectives and opportunities.
