Smart connected cities
The goal of this event was to highlight existing projects and to foster new collaborations between researchers in Switzerland and the UAE. It took place at Expo 2020 Dubai and online on 17 March 2022.
How can connected solutions improve the way in which we manage water, mobility, and the other challenges of growing and densifying cities? Innovations are being developed and implemented in Switzerland and in the UAE, by researchers in universities, private companies, and public actors.
This event proposed to bring together specialists to discuss these solutions and give the opportunity for new international collaborations in this field. Two roundtables focused on technology for water management and on resilience in ICT-supported mobility and logistics. Researchers from Switzerland and from the UAE presented highly innovative projects in this field. Interested academic and industrial partners took part in the discussion.
