Velux Stiftung - Research funding on daylight, healthy ageing and ophthalmology

The Velux Stiftung wants to create impact by supporting research projects addressing relevant problems with a high potential for change and leverage. Crucial to realise this potential are an entrepreneurial spirit in researchers and the efforts of the applicant to promote and implement the created knowledge of the project to enhance its impact.

The Velux Stuftung funds projets in three areas:

  • Daylight: Use of daylight and its effects on humans and nature
  • Healthy Ageing
  • Ophthalmology

Project funding is in the range of CHF 50'000-100'000/yr over 1-4 years. It covers research staff costs and associated research costs but does not cover overhead nor other indirect costs. The foundation welcomes international and interdisciplinary collaborations.
