SET2014 - 13th International Conference on Sustainable Energy Technologies

The 13th International Conference on Sustainable Energy Technologies was held in Geneva – Switzerland from August 25 to August 28 August 2014, hepia Haute école du paysage, d'ingénierie et d'architecture de Genève.

The objectives of this multi-disciplinary international conference on the sustainable energy sources and technologies (SET 2014) were to gather scientists, industrials and politicians and to provide a forum for the exchange of latest technical information, the dissemination of the high-quality research results on the issues, the presentation of the new developments in the area of sustainable energy, and the debate and shaping of future directions and priorities for better environment, sustainable development and energy security.

7 parallel sessions were organised that covered the 5 main topics of the conference (Renewable Energies, Energy Conversion, Energy Storage, Energy Technologies and Policies & Management).

In this context, we had the pleasure to welcome 200 participants from more than 40 countries. The feedback we received from them was very positive and it is of the general opinion that the scientific quality of the articles and of the presentations surpassed that of the previous SET conferences.

On behalf of the SET2014 organisation committee, of the HES-SO (University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland) and of the WSSET (World Society Sustainable Energy Technologies) we would like to heartily thank the participants, the authors, the keynote speakers, the session chairs, the reviewers, and also all the people who contributed to the success of SET2014, especially our colleagues from the communication services at HES-SO and at hepia.

We wish at least the same success and pleasure to the organisers of SET2015, which will be held in Nottingham UK, and we hope to meet you there!
