MasterMaster of Science in Midwifery
The European Master of Science in Midwifery est was established through a collaboration among five European universities in Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Switzerland.
Its creation was supported by the European Union programme for education and continuing education. This high-level study programme brings together midwives from the four corners of Europe thanks to distance teaching, making for a programme that is particularly enriching and open to diversity.
The European Master’s enables the discovery of various health systems and perspectives on the birth process. Students register in one of the universities offering the complete programme – either Glasgow or Hannover – then they follow the programme through distance learning within one of the partner universities. Half the programme consists of mandatory modules and the other of optional modules. The programme culminates with the defence of a Master’s thesis.
