H3PoC project (High Performance Portable Point of Care) aims at developing a portable point of care able to acquire multispectral images of skin or blood samples and, at the same time, capable of preforming advanced algorithm for diseases detection. This project will focus its efforts in order to provide an open, low-cost, and battery powered platform especially adapted to be used in remote regions of the globe where access to expert knowledge in the medical diagnostic domain are in critical demand.

H3PoC will be based upon the results of the Melanoma and Movable projects in order to leverage the acquired knowledge about two specific plagues still diffused in the poorest regions of the planet: skin cancer and malaria. Our aim is globally more general and the designed platform will have the degree of flexibility and modularity required to be quickly adapted to different optics requirements and diagnostic algorithm.
