Beginning with the start of the 2021 academic year, the HES-SO Master of Science in Business Administration (MSc BA) will offer students a new Major: Business in Eurasia.

Organized by HE-Arc Gestion (HEG Arc) and taught in English, this new Major is intended for people holding an HES Bachelor in Business, Management and Services (or qualification deemed to be equivalent).

The purpose is to train experts who have the necessary skills to assist and support Swiss and foreign companies seeking to export to or set up business in Eurasia.

Technical and intercultural skills

The future graduates will learn to master the specific characteristics of the Eurasian markets, especially in terms of legal framework, marketing, strategy and supply chain in a global context of digitalization. These skills will be accompanied by intercultural knowledge and a basic level of Mandarin or Russian.

To complete the training, two course blocks, each lasting two weeks, will take place in immersion in Shanghai and St. Petersburg.

An answer to a need

This new offer responds to a need of many Swiss companies looking to expand in China, Russia and other Eurasian countries. It also reinforces the teaching and R&D activities in connection with Russian-speaking countries and China already carried out by the HES-SO business schools.

This Major is in addition to the three others to be offered at the Master's level: Entrepreneurship, Information Systems Management and Prospective, as well as to the common courses intended for all Master's students.
