Description
The master of Science HES-SO in life Sciences is offered in cooperation with three other Swiss universities of applied sciences: ZFH (Zürcher Fachhochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften, ZHAW; Wädenswil), BFH (Schweizerische Hochschule für Landwirtschaft; HAFL; Zollikofen), FHNW (Hochschule für Life Sciences; Muttenz). This cooperation enables students to exchange their professional experiences and expand their personal networks with central modules: entrepreneurial basics (located in Spiez, BE) and extended theoretical basics (located in Bern).
The curriculum is divided into four blocks: entrepreneurial basics (3 x 4 credits, three intensive weeks in Spiez), extended theoretical basics (6 x 3 credits, Thursday and Friday in Berne during 3 weeks), courses related to the particular specializations (5 x 4 credits, one or two modules can be also common between two majors, each module is 1 day (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday) during one semester), and the Master's thesis project including the Research proposal & Bibliography (4 credits), the Master Thesis Specialization (6 credits), and Master's thesis itself (30 credits, full time during the last semester).

The MSc HES-SO in Life Sciences is internationally recognised, and opens up improved employment perspectives at higher levels of responsibility compared with the BSc, in
